Vendor at Public Market

Start your Saturday mornings off in the bustle of the Red Deer Public Market. Starting May long weekend and continuing on til Thanksgiving, you can find vendors from all over the province and even as far as B.C. and Saskatchewan. More than just a market, you’ll find it a social event as friends meet to hear buskers & musicians and have mouth-watering breakfasts.

Blocks away you can continue your afternoon: the Alexander Way celebration (Aug. 23) is a free, fun, family event celebrating arts and culture in Central Alberta. You’ll find visual artists, interactive art booths, culture groups, hands-on art demonstrations, an interactive drum circle and live entertainment lining Alexander Way (48 Street) between 49 Avenue and 51 Avenue.
