The 12^th Annual VW Car Show and Shine was a blast for every car enthusiast who attended and saw the many makes and models of Volkswagen vehicles on display in Sylvan Lake on Sunday, May 31st. Cars from all over the province and as far as Saskatchewan and Manitoba came to participate in the day’s event from 10 am to 4 pm. The event’s success is mainly contributed to the zest the owners have for their restored, maintained and revved up vehicles. The great weather also helped draw fans and increased the number of participants from just 85 last year to 135 this year. The event, held in Red Deer in previous years, was hosted by Club Veedub which operates out of Calgary, the Air Riders from Edmonton and the Red Deer sect, Dub Central.
