Stettler Starts Into Spring

Stettler's Annual KidSport St. Patrick's Day Gala was held on March 13, 2010. The event raised approximately $38 000 and was virtually sold out with 270 attendees! KidSport provides funds, and the opportunity, for kids from low income families to participate in sports they otherwise couldn't. Children in Stettler between the ages of 5-18 have been able to participate in dance, figure skating, hockey, tae kwon do, horseback riding, baseball, soccer and swimming. Last year over $57 000 was distributed in our area.

Funds that are raised locally stay to help the community, including those raised at the St. Patrick's Day Gala. To become a sponsor an annual contribution of $500 is needed.

Looking towards the future, we're getting revved up for our 30th Annual Trade Show! April 9, 10, 11 at the Stettler Recreation Center you can find almost 100 different booths! This year we are excited to try out the VRX Craft 'virtual reality' motion simulator. From cruising through space to speeding around a race track you never know what is in store. The show starts at 2:00pm on Friday the 9th, hope to see you there!
