Red Deer's Festival of Trees
Synonymous with Red Deer's holiday season, the DTHR Festival of Trees celebrates the 2009 theme, "Christmas Around The World". The event features many different events November 24 through 28. You can get some holiday shopping done with the Gift Shop or Santa's Secret Shoppe (for kids!), try some decadent desserts at the Taste of Red Deer, take part in the 'Tis the Season Fashion Luncheon and of course see the lighting of the Biggest Christmas Tree which starts the festival off and ushers the Christmas season into Downtown Red Deer. Most of the festival will take place on the Westerner Park grounds and proceeds will benefit maternity care at the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation.
